Mental Health Services

Family Services of Eastern Nova Scotia

A Family Service Worker provides Family Life Education Programs to individuals,
Couples, families, and groups, in the confidential process of therapy:

  • parenting
  • coping and grief
  • women and self esteem
  • separation and divorce
  • abuse (physical, emotional, sexual)
  • other personal functioning issues

Services are available by referral, from schools, Mental Health Department, doctors, and other agencies or by self-referral call 258 – 2100, Extension 1188.

Mental Health Services

A Social Worker and a Mental Health Nurse, in consultation with Psychiarist and an Occupational Therapist, provide a range of services full time:

  • assessment
  • individual counselling
  • anger management group sessions
  • group therapy (mental health awareness)

These services are available for all ages, by referral from your family doctor, or by self-referral call 258 - 2911.
