Get a taste of life in a rural Cape Breton community over the past two hundred years. A collection of artifacts traces the history of the fishing, farming, mining and lumbering life of this historic sea side community. View our collection of over four hundred Chestico House Histories, stories of Pioneer People and special historic events.  Check out our genealogical information on local families plus our collection of black and white photographs.  A gift shop on site sells local handicrafts, plus a variety of books and CDs of local authors and musicians.

The Chestico Museum is located on the outskirts of Port Hood at 8095 Route 19 in Harbourview.  We are on the Ceilidh Trail, Highway 19, approximately 25 minutes north of the Canso Causeway.
